Miro has a Free plan at $0. On the pricing page Miro describes it as unlimited members, with 3 boards editable at once. You can create more boards, but only three stay active and editable. Private boards are a paid feature. New accounts start on Free. So the accurate short answer to 'is Miro free' is: the Free plan is free, and the limits are the editable-board cap and the features reserved for paid plans.

Starter, Business, Enterprise

The Starter plan is listed at $8 per member per month when billed annually, or $10 per member per month when billed monthly, before tax. Miro describes it as the step that unlocks unlimited editable boards and private boards, on top of the Free features.

The Business plan is listed at $20 per member per month. Miro's business-plan page ties that price to advanced security such as SSO and to fuller AI workflows. Enterprise is custom-priced, and Miro's pricing page says it starts from 30 members. A 'Miro starter plan' search is this middle self-serve tier, not a trial nickname.

What the price does not decide

A paid board does not choose your workshop method. Silent notes and a keep list, described under brainstorming, work on paper. Pay when the limits block a real class or a real team: you need a fourth board editable this week, you need a private board, or you need the admin controls on Business. Miro AI access also differs by plan.
